Welcome!

Hi, I'm Arleen, Chief Creative Officer of AJH Leather Designs, a black and woman owned accessories brand located in Georgia USA, which brings bespoke luxury to the forefront of fashion. My timeless designs bring a modern twist to retrospective nostalgia.  AJH Leather Designs is a sustainable brand creating pieces with the environment and the customer in mind. I use luxury certified sustainable Italian leather which is 25% or less fossil and 75% or more biobased content.

I worked diligently to become a master leathertier so that I can design and create the best items for my customers. In 2024, I was scouted by Dr. La'tifah Q. Muhammed to join The House of N'wan as an independent contributing designer. Since then, I have shown my items at New York Fashion Week, and am now a published designer with Getty Images and mentions in Cie Fashion Magazine to my credit. It all started with a showing in Atlanta in the GoodLyfe Atlanta Queens with Curves Fashion Show. Thank you, Mr. Calvin Johnson.

All of my items are made-to-order, custom or full couture. I do not carry inventory because those items would be made by someone else or manufactured in bulk. I will not totally abandon this option. As I grow, I will scout the best manufacturers to make my designs. For now, I design and make all items myself in Studio AJH. In this space, I produce a limited quantity of orders per year. This insures the highest quality and attention to my customers. The pricing for most items is $500 up. Making a bag from drawing to ready takes about 15 to 60 days. To get on the waiting list roster may take up to 3 months for reservations.

You must make a reservation. A 50% deposit or full price is required to make a reservation. Once you pay your deposit, you will be entered into a queue on the waiting list. Then I can move on with the project. You have 3 days from the day of deposit to change your mind. Your deposit can be refunded at this time. After 3 days, I will proceed to order materials and hardware. 

If you would like, I can send you a deposit link when you are ready and want us to proceed with ordering the raw materials for your special item. Please contact me for more information. My contact information is listed at the bottom of the home page.

AJH Leather Designs – Refunds & Returns Policy

At AJH Leather Designs, we take pride in crafting high-quality leather goods and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not happy with your order, please review our refunds and returns policy below.

Returns

  • We accept returns within 14 days of delivery only in cases of damage and defects.
  • Items must be unused, in original condition, and in their original packaging.
  • Custom or personalized items cannot be returned, unless they arrive damaged or defective.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was defective or incorrect.

Refunds

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will process your refund within 5-7 business days.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable, except in cases of defective or incorrect items.

Exchanges

  • We offer exchanges for items of equal value within 14 days of delivery, expect for bespoke and custom items.
  • If you need a different size or color, please contact us before sending the item back.

Damaged or Defective Items

  • If your item arrives damaged or defective, please email us at ajhleather@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue.
  • We will replace or refund defective items at no additional cost to you.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

  1. Email us at ajhleather@gmail.com or ajhleather@womanvsleather-ajhleatherdesigns.com with your order number and reason for return/exchange.
  2. We will provide return instructions and a return address.
  3. Once we receive and inspect your item, we will process your refund or exchange.

This is due to the nature of bespoke orders. All materials are carefully inspected before an item is made. Any cancellation will result in a loss of materials and time. I thank you for your support and understanding.

Where items have been made or personalized (made-to-order, custom/bespoke, or full couture) for you, they are non-refundable unless defective. If you need to return an item, send us an email at our contact email address on this website and we will provide you with the address to return your items. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
When you are returning items, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, other than for a faulty item, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
